Julie A. Morgan, PA-C

Physician Assistant for Dr. Domb

Julie A. Morgan, PA-C, graduated in 1999 from the NCCPA accredited physician assistant program at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and has focused on general orthopaedics ever since.  Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she served as a physical therapy assistant for five years with a focus on orthopaedics. 

With almost 20 years of orthopaedic experience, she joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2011 to assist Dr. Benjamin Domb in clinical, hospital, and operating room settings. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Illinois Academy of Physicians.

When not caring for the patients of Hinsdale Orthopaedics, Julie enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her son.

Lindsey A. Lynch, MPAS, PA-C

Physician Assistant for Dr. Chudik

Board-certified physician assistant Lindsey A. Lynch, MPAS, PA-C, is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois under physician supervision. Lindsey assists Dr. Steven Chudik in the operating room, performs patient hospital rounds, sees patients in clinic and works closely with Dr. Chudik to ensure you receive the highest level of care.

Lindsey received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and her master’s in physician assistant studies, from Marquette University, Milwaukee, an NCCPA accredited program. To fulfill her PA degree, Lindsey conducted orthopaedic research and wrote a thesis entitled “ACL Injuries in Skeletally Immature Patients.” Her post-graduate work included a PA position in an orthopaedic trauma, foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine practice.

An active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Lindsey grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago where she was an elite gymnast.

David K. Mathern, MPAS, PA-C

Physician Assistant for Dr. Louis

David K. Mathern, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice in Illinois.  Mathern graduated from Long Island University, an NCCPA accredited program in Brooklyn, New York.  He then attended a residency program through Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Morton Grove, Illinois, where he received training in orthopaedic trauma, joint reconstruction, spine, pediatric orthopaedics, and sports medicine.  Upon completion of his residency, David earned his masters degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska.

David has a passion for orthopaedic trauma surgery and has worked at two Level I Trauma Centers in the Chicagoland area.  Mathern joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2011 and works alongside Dr. Louis in the operating room, clinic, and emergency room to help diagnose and treat orthopaedic injuries and joint problems with both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options.

Magdalena Malinowska, PA-C

Biography

A board-certified physician assistant, Magdalena Malinowska, PA-C is a graduate of Central Michigan University, a National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) accredited program. She works directly with Dr. LaReau in the operating room and in clinical settings.

Magdalena received her undergraduate degree in physiology from Michigan State University. She went on to receive her masters of physician assistant studies from Central Michigan University. Prior to joining Hinsdale Orthopaedics, she completed a 12–month residency in orthopaedics at the Lutheran General Hospital through the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Magdalena chose orthopaedics due to her strong background in athletics and her exposure to physical therapy and sports medicine while growing up. Magdalena is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as Illinois and Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants.  Magdalena was born in Poland and is fluent in Polish.

Jessica Rodriguez, MS, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice medicine as well as prescribe most medications in the state of Illinois. Lindsey R. Gouwens, MMS, PA-C

Lindsey Gouwens, a native of the south suburbs of Chicago, joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2009.  She has been a board-certified physician assistant since 2006 when she graduated with a masters degree in medical science from the Midwestern University Physician Assistant Studies Program. Over the years, Gouwens has gained an abundance of experience in sports medicine and general orthopaedics.  She also holds a bachelors degree from Indiana University in kinesiology/exercise science. Gouwens also completed a masters practicum in general and sports based orthopaedics.

Gouwens is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Society of Orthopaedic Physician Assistants, and the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants. Gouwens grew up as a gymnast, diver, and tennis player and is currently a long distance runner.

Biography

Danielle Blair, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice medicine in the state of Illinois under physician supervision.  She graduated from Butler University, an NCCPA accredited program in Indianapolis, Indiana, with a bachelor of science degree in health sciences and a master of science degree in physician assistant studies.  Throughout her studies, Danielle received medical training in several specialties and electively focused on orthopaedics and surgery.

Danielle joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in July 2011 and works directly with Dr. Hurbanek, who specializes in sports medicine.  She provides direct patient care in the clinic and performs joint injections and other minor procedures.  She also provides surgical assistance as well as preoperative and postoperative education.  Her clinical interests include knee and shoulder injuries, cartilage restoration, and arthroscopic ACL reconstruction procedures.
