Sara Lennon, MMS, PA-C

Physician Assistant for Dr. LaReau

Sara Lennon, PA-C has been a board-certified physician assistant since 2013 when she graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Butler University. Sara gained an abundance of experience in a broad spectrum of orthopaedics including assisting in the operating room, performing minor procedures, and covering an orthopaedic immediate care clinic. Most recently she has assisted a fellowship-trained shoulder and sports medicine surgeon in the operating room as well as in a clinical setting.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Butler University in Health Sciences, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Biology. Sara works directly with Dr. LaReau in surgery and clinic.

She currently holds memberships in the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Organization of Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Alicia Plancich, MS, PA-C

Alicia Plancich, MS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice medicine and prescribe most medications in the state of Illinois.  She works directly with Dr. Louis in the operating room, hospital, and clinical settings.

Alicia attended the University of Iowa and earned her undergraduate degree in biology. She went on to receive her masters degree in physician assistant practice from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, an NCCPA accredited university in North Chicago, Illinois. 

Alicia is an active volunteer in the community and has assisted in organizing events for the Susan G. Komen Fund. She has donated her time to local oncology and cardiovascular intensive care units and has also participated in medical mission trips to Costa Rica and Panama. When not caring for patients, Alicia enjoys spending her time traveling, hiking, and with family.

Yoon Young Choi, PA

Yoon Young Choi, MS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant, licensed to practice medicine as well as prescribe medication in the state of Illinois under physician supervision. Yoon assists Dr. Fajardo in operating room, hospital, and clinical settings, and works closely with Dr. Fajardo to ensure the highest level of care for their patients.

Yoon earned her bachelors degree in health sciences at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia.  In addition to obtaining her masters in physician assistant studies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Yoon completed a one-year surgical residency program at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York.

Yoon joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2014 with several years of previous experience as a physician assistant.  She has practiced in the areas of urology, neurosurgery, and orthopaedics.  Yoon also speaks Korean as a second language.

Dana Archer, PA

Dana Archer, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice medicine as well as prescribe medication in the state of Illinois under physician supervision. With several years of experience as a physician assistant, Dana joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2014 to work alongside Dr. Robert Daley.  Dana assists in the operating room, performs patient hospital rounds, sees patients in clinic, and works closely with Dr. Daley to ensure the highest level of individualized care for their patients.

Dana attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for both her undergraduate and masters education, obtaining a bachelor of science degree in health sciences and a master of physician assistant studies degree.  Dana grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and first became interested in orthopedics after completing an orthopedic surgery rotation during her physician assistant training.

Biography

Board-certified physician assistant Stephanie Meyers, MMS, PA-C, is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois under physician supervision. Stephanie works closely with Dr. Durkin to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care in hospital, operating room, and clinical settings.  An Illinois native, Stephanie received her bachelor of science degree from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated summa cum laude.  She received her masters degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.

During her education, Stephanie volunteered and job shadowed in the area of orthopaedics and also worked as a physical therapy rehabilitation aide. Her interest in orthopaedics stems from her lifelong involvement in sports, including running track at the University of Illinois.  Building upon her interest, Stephanie did an elective orthopaedic rotation while completing her PA degree.  Stephanie’s experience has helped her to relate to orthopaedic patients and provide outstanding care.

David Tan, MSHS, PA-C

Physician Assistant for Dr. Burra

David Tan, MSHS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant,  licensed to practice as well as prescribe medication in the state of Illinois. He works directly with Dr. Burra in the operating room and clinical settings.

Born and raised in the Hinsdale area, David received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then received his masters of science in health sciences and PA training from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Prior to returning to the Chicago suburbs, he worked in the Maryland suburbs of D.C. assisting on various orthopaedic cases including: sports medicine, total joint reconstruction, spine, foot and ankle, and upper extremity surgeries.

David also served in the U.S. Army as a medic prior to becoming a PA. His duty included one tour to Baghdad where he earned the Combat Medical Badge for performing medical duties while being actively engaged by the enemy.

Monika Strand, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice medicine as well as prescribe medication in the state of Illinois under physician supervision. Biography

Matthew B. Schneider, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to practice in Illinois.  Matthew completed the U.S. Army Medical Department’s Interservices Physician Assistant Program (IPAP). He received his masters degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Matthew received specialized training in orthopaedics and completed his clinical rotations at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Matthew joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2013.  He works alongside Dr. Urbanosky in the operating room and clinic to help diagnose and treat orthopaedic injures and joint problems through both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options.

Matthew has been a member of the U.S. Armed Forces since 2000.  He was deployed as an combat medic to Iraq in 2005, and most recently as a physician assistant to Afghanistan in 2013.

Prior to joining Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2008, Joyce worked for two years in internal medicine where she provided care to residents of chronic care facilities around the chicagoland area. While at Midwestern University, she elected to focus on orthopaedics and pain management, completing several rotations in these specialties. Her interest in orthopaedics sparked while working as a patient care technician on the neurospine unit at Central DuPage Hospital prior to PA school.
