Dr. Jason Ghodasra, an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of the hand and upper extremity, presented a research study on distal radius fractures (commonly known as wrist fractures) at the 2020 annual meeting for the American Association for Hand Surgery. His study evaluated the effect of low bone mineral density on the loss of reduction for distal radius fractures by utilizing the second metacarpal cortical percentage (2MCP).
